Table Tennis Victoria launches Strategic Plan 2026-2027 to strengthen our sport together

Published Tue 11 Nov 2025

Table Tennis Victoria (TTV) is proud to announce the release of its Strategic Plan 2026-2027, setting a clear and collaborative direction for the future of table tennis across Victoria.

The new plan reflects extensive consultation and engagement with TTV’s community - including affiliates, committees, athletes, officials, and partners. Additionally, it aligns closely with Table Tennis Australia’s national strategic framework and the Australian Sports Commission’s Play Well and Win Well strategy.

Over the past year, TTV has undertaken a comprehensive planning process involving board workshops, surveys, and targeted consultation with key stakeholders such as the Victorian Institute of Sport, Vicsport, and Sport and Recreation Victoria. This process helped shape a plan that builds on the strengths of our sport while identifying clear pathways for growth and improvement.

The Strategic Plan 2026-2027 is built around four key priorities:

  • Participation and Pathways: Expanding opportunities for people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds to play and progress in table tennis.

  • Performance and Development: Supporting athletes, coaches, and officials to reach their full potential.

  • Governance and Sustainability: Strengthening organisational systems and financial stability to ensure TTV’s long-term success.

  • Community and Connection: Deepening engagement across clubs, schools, and regions to grow our sport’s reach and impact.

TTV Chief Executive Officer Gen Dohrmann said the new plan represents a shared vision for the sport’s next chapter.

“This plan has been shaped by the ideas and feedback of our members, affiliates, and partners. It’s about strengthening the structures that support our players, volunteers, and clubs - and ensuring table tennis continues to thrive across Victoria,” she said.

A Risk Management Framework willaccompany the plan to guide implementation and monitor progress, ensuring that strategic objectives are achieved with transparency and accountability.

The TTV Board formally approved the Strategic Plan in October, and the organisation will now focus on delivering the priorities in collaboration with the Victorian table tennis community.
