TTV Board Update - May 2026

Published Wed 20 May 2026

As Table Tennis Victoria continues to grow and evolve, we would like to acknowledge the outstanding contributions of two departing Board Directors while also welcoming two new members elected at the 2025 AGM.

Meredith Kelly

After six years of dedicated service, we thank Meredith Kelly for her invaluable contribution to the TTV Board, including three years as Deputy Chair. Meredith joined the Board as an appointed Director in December 2020 before stepping into the Deputy Chair role in October 2021. Throughout her tenure, Meredith played an important role in the recruitment of CEO Gen and brought significant governance expertise and insight into the national sporting landscape through her work with the Australian Sports Commission. In addition to her Board responsibilities, Meredith also served on the TTV State Disciplinary Panel. We sincerely thank Meredith for her commitment, professionalism, and the guidance she has provided to TTV over the past six years.

Daniel Moloney

We also extend our sincere gratitude to Daniel Moloney, who concludes six years on the TTV Board including one year as Deputy Chair and four years as Chair. Dan’s leadership came at a pivotal time for the sport, helping guide Table Tennis Victoria through the challenges of COVID recovery while overseeing the recruitment and onboarding of the organisation’s first-time CEO. Combining his passion for table tennis with extensive local government expertise, Dan has played a key role in positioning TTV for long-term success and growth. He has also been a strong advocate for Victoria within discussions with Table Tennis Australia and has mentored incoming leadership during the transition of the Chair role. We thank Dan for his tireless dedication and lasting impact on the sport in Victoria.

At the same time, we are excited to welcome two newly elected Board Directors, Simon Martin and Wendy (Yiwen) Li.

Simon Martin

Simon Martin joins the Board with extensive experience across the international sporting industry. Currently serving as Head of Tournament Services at Tennis Australia, Simon oversees player and event logistics for the Australian Open and the Summer of Tennis. His career spans more than a decade working across major sporting organisations and events throughout Europe, bringing a wealth of operational expertise, leadership experience, and strategic insight. Simon also serves as President of Melbourne Veterans Table Tennis Association and is passionate about promoting diversity, inclusion, and participation opportunities within table tennis.

Wendy (Yiwen) Li

Joining Simon is Wendy (Yiwen) Li, a lifelong member of the Victorian table tennis community with a strong combination of sporting and professional experience. Wendy has competed in table tennis since the age of 10 across state, national, and international competitions, including winning the Oceania Junior Singles Championship at just 15 years old. She remains actively involved in Victorian pennant and tournament competition and has contributed to player development through coaching roles at clubs and schools across Melbourne. Professionally, Wendy brings experience in project coordination, stakeholder engagement, governance support, workshop facilitation, and funding application development. Her ability to work collaboratively across diverse groups, combined with her deep understanding of the athlete pathway, will provide a valuable player-focused perspective to the TTV Board.

At our Board Meeting following the AGM, Raj Datta was re-elected TTV Chair and Molina Asthana was re-elected TTV Deputy Chair. Lastly, we would also like to congratulate Lydia Liu who has been elected to the Table Tennis Australia Board.

Table Tennis Victoria looks forward to working with Simon and Wendy as the organisation continues to build a strong and inclusive future for table tennis across the state.
