BATT Girls Session 1

Event information

This event has passed.

BATT Girls is an exciting new initiative designed to inspire more women and girls to get involved in table tennis, while strengthening and celebrating the existing women’s community across Victoria.

Whether you’re a complete beginner, returning after some time away, or a regular player, BaTT Girls offers a welcoming, social and supportive environment where everyone can feel comfortable picking up a bat and getting involved. Table Tennis Victoria is committed to growing female participation across the state, and this program plays a key role in achieving that goal.

Over the next 10 months, BaTT Girls sessions will be delivered at a range of clubs and associations across Victoria, including Central Melbourne (MSAC), Geelong, Leongatha, Sunbury, Coburg and Mornington Peninsula. Participants are encouraged to attend one or multiple sessions - whatever suits you best.

Thanks to the support of a Victorian Government grant, all sessions are completely free.

Each session is designed to be flexible and participant-focused, with activities tailored to suit different interests and experience levels. The program includes:

  • A warm welcome and introduction
  • Opportunities for participants to share ideas, feedback and what they’d like to get out of the program
  • A variety of table tennis activities, including:
    • Team-based competition play (singles and doubles in pairs)
    • Casual social play with a mix of partners
    • A combination of competition and social formats
    • Group coaching sessions with tips and techniques for beginners and those looking to improve
  • Light refreshments including snacks, tea, coffee and water

BaTT Girls is all about connection, confidence and community - creating a space where women and girls can enjoy table tennis their way.
