Table Tennis Victoria Welcomes Rachael Gopal as New Chief Operations Officer
Published Thu 06 Nov 2025
Table Tennis Victoria (TTV) is delighted to announce the appointment of Rachael Gopal as our new Chief Operations Officer (COO), commencing Thursday, 6 November.
Over the past 12 months, TTV has operated under a job-split leadership structure, with the CEO role held part-time across Mondays to Wednesdays, and the COO position covering Thursdays and Fridays. Following the departure of Jennifer Pitson last week, we are thrilled to welcome Rachael into this key leadership role.
Rachael joins TTV from Table Tennis Australia (TTA), where she currently serves as Executive and Partnerships Officer. She will transition from her full-time position at TTA to a part-time capacity in order to take up this exciting new opportunity with TTV.
Bringing more than 20 years of experience across sport, marketing, partnerships, and community engagement, Rachael has a distinguished career that spans both corporate and not-for-profit sectors. Her previous roles include senior positions with NAB, IMG, and leadership and governance roles within community organisations such as Burch Memorial Preschool. Her background demonstrates a proven ability to build strong stakeholder relationships, deliver strategic partnerships, and drive organisational growth.
“Rachael is an experienced marketing and partnerships professional with a strong background in sport, corporate marketing, and community engagement,” said Gen Dohrmann, TTV CEO.
“We know that she will bring a fresh perspective and new opportunities to our COO position, and she looks forward to working with our wonderful Victorian table tennis community.”
Both Table Tennis Victoria and Table Tennis Australia see this appointment as a positive step in strengthening collaboration across the sport.
“TTV and TTA are excited about this opportunity and believe that, while maintaining clear boundaries between roles, this is a practical step toward how we can all work together to build a strong future for table tennis by retaining good people within the overall system,” said Nicole Adamson, TTA CEO.
Please join us in welcoming Rachael Gopal to the Table Tennis Victoria team. We look forward to the energy, insight, and leadership she will bring to our organisation and the wider table tennis community.
