Published Wed 27 May 2026

Table Tennis Victoria is pleased to announce the appointment of Sarah Pisterman as Interim Chief Executive Officer who will take on the role full-time from Monday 29 June when current CEO Gen Dohrmann commences maternity leave.

Sarah brings extensive experience across national sporting organisations, commercial partnerships, governance, and community sport development, making her exceptionally well placed to lead Table Tennis Victoria during this period.

With more than six years as General Manager of Masters Swimming Australia, Sarah has overseen all facets of organisational leadership including board governance, financial management, participation growth, affiliate relations, national events, and staff leadership. Her appointment comes following a distinguished career spanning both the sporting and commercial sectors.

Most recently, Sarah served as General Manager - Sport Development at Water Polo Australia, where she led national transformation projects across community sport, safeguarding, workforce capability, and operational strategy.

Throughout her career, Sarah has demonstrated a strong ability to deliver meaningful outcomes in membership-based sporting organisations. During her time at Masters Swimming Australia, she led the organisation through significant change and growth, including achieving 20 per cent membership growth, securing major government and commercial funding, and delivering a full digital transformation of membership and event systems.

Sarah also brings significant commercial and partnership expertise through senior roles with organisations including Dulux Group, IMG, Playboy Enterprises and Speedo Australia.

Her experience working closely with boards, volunteers, affiliates, government agencies, and sporting communities aligns strongly with Table Tennis Victoria’s ongoing commitment to growing and strengthening the sport across the state.

Sarah holds a Master of Business Administration (Honours) from Swinburne University of Technology, alongside qualifications in marketing and psychology, and has completed several professional development programs through VicSport and Play by the Rules.

Table Tennis Victoria looks forward to welcoming Sarah into the role and working alongside her as the organisation continues to build participation, strengthen clubs and pathways, and deliver positive outcomes for the Victorian table tennis community.

The Board, staff, and wider TTV community also extend their best wishes to Gen and her family as she prepares for this exciting new chapter.
