End of the year message from the CEO- 2018
Published Fri 21 Dec 2018
Dear friends (to all our members, affiliates, officials, volunteers and stakeholders),
It's been another massive year for Table Tennis Victoria regarding competition, events, programs and membership. All tournaments were run successfully by TTV and other affiliated clubs throughout the state, our state teams were victorious in many events, many programs were initiated by our State Development Officer Marie, and our administration officer Claire did an excellent job during her first year in what I described a hectic one. Perhaps the biggest event we had was conducting the Australian Veterans Championships in Bendigo which again would not have been successful without many people involved who I have publicly thanked in October.
The year of 2019 promises to be a big one as well, with the Australian Senior Championships being held in Latrobe Valley from April 8-14 and other events such as a Come and Try Week from April 6-14 for all affiliates to try to generate growth within their club. Other new events, State-wide competition and high performance programs are in the pipeline at the moment with negotiations with MSAC being conducted right now.
The annual Presidents Forum will be held in line with our new Strategic Plan forum on 2nd March to help with the creation of the new plan. More details to follow from this. Our AGM is scheduled for 17th March.
Lastly, we acquired two more affiliates and more than two hundred and fifty members in 2018 compared to 2017 so the sky's the limit for 2019!!
On behalf of myself, our staff and the TTV board, we wish all of you a safe Christmas and a wonderful New Year.
