Albury Wodonga Junior/Senior Open Review

The 2025 Albury Wodonga Junior/Senior Open was held over the weekend from May 17-18 and it was a fantastic tournament for all 42 seniors and 67 juniors who took part.
AWTTA President Terry Caldwell shared some thoughts about the open stating “there were lots of great matches going down to the wire, with a few events having the same finalists but reversed results!”
“As usual, there was a lot more noise on the Junior day, but the youngsters are to be commended on readily providing umpires and playing excellent Table Tennis.”
“Tournament directors, Claire Montgomery and Greg Bristowe, ran the events like clockwork, even finishing earlier than expected on the Junior day.”
“Several AWTTA members contributed to the event, assisting with catering, cleaning, occasional umpiring and generally making guest players and their families feel very welcome.”
“AWTTA looks forward to seeing everybody back for the 2026 tournaments” added Caldwell.
