Table Tennis Victoria’s iconic Country Championships is set to take place this King’s Birthday long weekend (June 7–9) at the Gippsland Regional Indoor Sports Stadium (GRISS) in Traralgon – marking a special milestone in TTV’s Centenary year.

Affectionately known as ‘Country Week,’ the Country Championships have long held a special place in the hearts of regional Victorian table tennis players. Renowned for its vibrant team spirit, community feel and fierce competition, this year’s tournament promises to be even more memorable as we celebrate 100 years of Victorian Table Tennis.

The 2025 rendition of the tournament will return to GRISS’s front show courts – offering an elevated stage for athletes and fans alike to experience the very best of regional table tennis action.

Associations from across the state, including 78 teams from; Albury, Bairnsdale, Ballarat, Deniliquin, Echuca, Geelong, Leongatha, Melton, Mornington Frankston, Shepparton, Sunbury, Traralgon, Yarrawonga, Wangaratta and Wonthaggi, will compete across 13 team grades and a series of individual knockout events.

The tournament continues to be a key highlight of the TTV calendar, not just for the competition, but for the community spirit forged over the weekend.

TTV CEO Gen Dohrmann shared her excitement for the upcoming Championships stating “we’re thrilled to bring the 73rd Annual Country Championships back to Traralgon in this milestone year for Table Tennis Victoria.”

“As we celebrate 100 years of the sport in our state, it’s fitting to honour the passion and dedication of our regional communities who are the backbone of our game. This tournament is not just a competition – it’s a celebration of history, talent, and the vibrant future of table tennis in Victoria” added Dohrmann.

As part of its regional engagement, TTV has collaborated with multiple local restaurants and venues to offer special discounts and deals to Country Championships attendees. More information about these local partnerships will be made available via our website in the lead-up to the event.
