2024 TTV Annual Awards Ceremony

On Saturday May 10th we were very excited to host our 2024 Annual Awards Soiree following the 2024 Table Tennis Victoria AGM in the Champions Room at Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre. 

In what was a very enjoyable afternoon of celebration, TTV was incredibly honoured to recognise the success of our players and hard-working volunteers from our community. 

The awards winners are as follows: 

The FRENCH AWARD given to the Senior Players of the Year and named in memory of Table Tennis Victoria former President, Vic French. 

Female winner: Yangzi Liu 

Male winner: Dillon Chambers 

 

The COBURG AWARD given to the Junior Players of the Year and donated by Coburg Table Tennis Club. 

Female winners: Connie Psihogios & Sanaya Buddhadasa 

Male winner: Nicholas Lum 

 

The ROSARIO AWARD given to the Para Male & Female athlete of the Year and is named after the Rosario family, an award which recognises the contributions made by Prisca, Eric and Alois Rosario to the sport of table tennis in Victoria. 

Female winner: Qian Yang 

Male winner: Lin Ma 

 

The SOKOLOWSKI AWARD given to the Veteran Players of the Year in memory of Ted Sokolowski who was a fine table tennis player who came up through the junior ranks and was a member of Junior, Senior and Veterans Victorian State Teams. 

Female winner: Lydia Liu 

Male winner: Brian Berry 

 

 

15 Years’ SERVICE AWARD: For outstanding long-term sustained service to the sport of table tennis for the benefit of the wider community. 

Recipient: Rick Woods 

 

PRESIDENTS AWARD for Distinguished Service. 

Winner: Ward Leydon 

 

GUGGENHEIM AWARD for Volunteer of the Year named after Joan Guggenheim. 

Winner: Bill Freeman 

 

JAVOR AWARD for Coach of the Year named after the late Karol Javor, an award which recognises the contribution made by him to coaching in Victoria. 

Winner: Michael Mastromonaco 

 

SINGER AWARD for Official of the Year, which is named after Ruth Singer, an award which recognises the contributions made by Ruth Singer to the sport of table tennis as an Official in Victoria. 

Winner: Anna Wright 

 

ST KILDA CRICKET TABLE TENNIS CLUB AWARD for Affiliate of the Year named after the oldest Club in Victoria, St Kilda Cricket Table Tennis Club, an award which recognises the contributions made to the sport of table tennis in Victoria. 

Winner: Albury Wodonga Table Tennis Association 

 

A massive congratulations goes out to all our 2024 award winners, I hope you will agree that they are all deserved recipients.
