- Getting tested if you show symptoms or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive to COVID-19
- It is recommended to limit organised gatherings to less than 500 people
- Practice good hygiene including: i) Coveryour coughs and sneezes with your elbow or a tissue. ii) Eliminate the use of handkerchiefsand disposeof tissues properly. iii) Washyour handsoften with soap and water, including before and after eating and after going to the toilet, use alcohol-based hand sanitisers clean and disinfect surfaces. vi) If you are sick, avoid contact with others and stay more than 1.5 metres away from people
- Practice social distancing including: i) Stay at home when you are unwell. ii) Avoidlarge public gatherings if they’re not essential. iii) Keep a distance of 1.5 metres between you and other people whenever possible. iv) Minimising physical contact, especially with people at higher risk such as older people and people with existing health conditions
If your club/association is still operational, TTA recommends undertaking the following measures to minimise the risk of spreading COVID-19:
1) Ensure hand sanitiser is present at the entry/exit to the venue, together with a sign requiring everyone who enters/exits the venue to apply hand sanitiser.
2) Ensure that hand sanitiser is present in all toilets at the venue, together with a sign that mandates that everyone must use hand sanitiser after using the toilet.
3) Prohibit the practice of players wiping their hands on the table.
4) Allow players to not feel obligated to shake hands with their opponent and the umpire before/after matches. Suggested alternates are, a) a verbal thank you, b) nodding of the head or bowing, or c) raising a hand in acknowledgement.
